The screw are have a Dog/Pilot Point - The straight pointed section below the thread helps to self-guide the screw to prevent accidental stripping while also improving the ease of installation.The nut is housed within a 3/8 inch spring metal body. When each side tab on the body is compressed, the nut can be inserted into the square hole in the rack rail. Most often used for mounting of servers, rack shelves, switches, routers, and other networking, electronic and data equipment.

Snap-in Design
